It was a warm and sunny May 24th long weekend across the island, with some of the warmest temperatures in nearly 30 years being reported in the metro.
That’s according to Rodney Barney of the Gander Weather Office.
He says St. John’s International Airport reached 23.2 degrees yesterday, the highest temperature to be recorded on the May 24th long weekend since 1993.
On Sunday, May 23rd of that year the temperature reached 23.4 degrees.
