Superbloom display at Tower of London fails to impress | News

While all of Britain prays for a sunny Jubilee weekend, gardeners at the Tower of London are anxiously hoping for a spot of rain.

That is because the Tower’s moat has been planted with 20 million wildflower seeds as part of its Superbloom installation to mark the Queen’s 70 years on the throne, but an unusually dry and windy couple of months has delayed it coming into flower.

With some visitors complaining on social media that there are not as many blooms as expected, the site has offered those who have booked a visit before June 15 a free ticket to return to the display later in its run.
