The Benvenuto Group is forming the 21st and final residential level of its luxury rental apartment building The Whitney on Redpath in the heart of Midtown Toronto, while the developer has made extensive progress on glazing and cladding of the exterior.
The Whitney will bring 180 purpose-built rental units to the burgeoning area. Its residents will have access to luxury condominium-quality amenities including a rooftop pool, outdoor lounge, dining area fitted with barbecues, and cabana lounges which can be seen on the roof of the podium in the image below.
Designed by NEUF architect(e)s and CMV Group architects, The Whitney is located a few blocks east of Eglinton subway station at the northeast corner of Redpath and Soudan avenues. The building features a variety of masonry cladding materials in warm colours, with three shades of stone veneers, plus bricks in charcoal and cream.
The Whitney’s exterior also sports spandrel panels resembling cherrywood between pairs of windows, better seen in a close-up shot:
Looking up at the building, glazing has been installed nearly all the way to the top of the tower.
Work will soon start on applying the balcony guards.
The Whitney will be walking distance from entertainment, shopping, and transit, as well as parks and cafes in the surrounding neighbourhood. The building will be completed later this year.
More information on the development will come soon, but in the meantime, you can learn more from our Database file for the project, linked below. If you’d like, you can join in on the conversation in the associated Project Forum thread, or leave a comment in the space provided on this page.
